−Joe Nichols – Mohegan Sun8:00 pm – 11:45 pm
The true measure of an artist lies beyond the milestones and the hardware. Joe Nichols, of course, has plenty of both, but a legacy relies just as surely on an intangible that is just as surely a part of Joe’s makeup — authenticity. Legends like George Jones and Merle Haggard have given Joe their public seal of approval, adding real luster to accomplishments that reflect the respect he has earned across the board.+8:00 pmJoe Nichols – Mohegan Sun

“Falling Awake,” the first song from Gary Jules’ independently released self-titled album appeared on two separate Billboard Top 100 charts in January 2007, one week after being heavily featured in an exceptionally popular episode of Grey’s Anatomy. When the editorial staff at Billboard learned that Jules’ sales numbers were generated solely by iTunes downloads with no commercial radio airplay, record company, manager, publicist, publisher, radio or licensing agent to ‘sell’ the new album into the public eye, they wrote a full-page feature detailing Jules’ unlikely rise to recognition with his album Trading Snakeoil for Wolftickets (featuring a cover of Tears for Fears’ “Mad World”) and the excitement surrounding the early success of his follow-up, Gary Jules.+8:00 pmGary Jules – Mohegan Sun

−Railroad Earth – Mohegan Sun8:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Railroad Earth is one of America’s greatest bands playing today, plain and simple. They sing of our nation’s changing landscape and social ills with a commitment reminiscent of Woody Guthrie, while interpolating instrumental timbres that could have been pulled from Celtic or Cajun culture. And as anyone who has caught them live will attest, their concerts are imbued with the fire-in-the-belly passion of straight-ahead, blue collar Rock & Roll. Then there is the newest album from the New Jersey sextet, which is the most cohesive embodiment of their myriad gifts to date hence the decision to simply call it Railroad Earth, showcasing nine new selections that draw strength and inspiration from an acknowledgment of our shared past, while also embracing new ideas and celebrating diversity just like America when she is at her best.+8:00 pmRailroad Earth – Mohegan Sun

−The Bernadettes – Mohegan Sun7:00 pm – 10:00 pm
Those who have seen the band perform live in their latest incarnation might be surprised to know that The Bernadettes started out in the early 1990s as a traditional-style Blues band, covering songs by the likes of John Lee Hooker, Howlin’ Wolf, as well as later bluesmen like Stevie Ray Vaughan, Buddy Guy and Eric Clapton. But the band soon began experimenting with their own unique versions of R&B classics from James Brown, Otis Redding, Ray Charles, Marvin Gaye and their contemporaries. This evolved further with the addition of classic Motown hits, contemporary Funk, Soul and R&B flavored Rock songs to their large and varied, dance-oriented song list. The resulting mix has become the staple of the band’s offering to live audiences. Continuous appearances at a variety of venues have established the Bernadettes as one of the area’s premier live acts. They were voted the best Rhythm and Blues band in the New Haven Advocate “Sounds of New Haven” 1996 Readers’ Poll, and also chosen by that paper as “New Haven’s #1 bar band.” A constantly growing song list, matched with the band’s frenetic brand of Soul make for a memorable evening for anyone who wants to move their feet and dance to the beat.+7:00 pmThe Bernadettes – Mohegan Sun

−Class of the 70s – Mohegan Sun8:00 pm – 10:00 pm

Visionary songwriter, performer and all-around musical pioneer Gary Wright has spent more than forty years shattering conventional ideas about how to make chart-topping Rock music. Not only have his classic songs “Dream Weaver,” “Love Is Alive” and “Really Wanna Know You” proven their genius by achieving hit status in four different decades; Wright’s musical wizardry has also extended, more than once, to changing the very sound and texture of contemporary Pop.
The buzz surrounding Ambrosia isn’t surprising given the heights the band scaled during the 70s and early 80s. Top 10 hits such as “Biggest Part of Me,” “How Much I Feel,” “You’re the Only Woman” and “Holdin’ On to Yesterday” have earned the band five Grammy nominations, continual radio airplay and multi-platinum status.
John Ford Coley is best know for his musical talents, which include hit songs such as: “Love Is The Answer,” “Gone Too Far,” “I’d Really Love To See You Tonight,” “Nights Are Forever,” and more. In addition, his “Nights are Forever” song appeared in the 2003 feature film Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star.

−Wakey! Wakey! – Mohegan Sun11:00 pm – 1:00 am
Wakey!Wakey! made their presence known over the past couple years by finding a perfect balance between crowd-pleasing Pop and art-damaged Indie Rock. It’s something Grubbs learned from New York’s anti-Folk scene and its founding father, Lach. (The Lower East Side icon mentored Grubbs, which isn’t a surprise, Lach shunned the piano the second he heard the Sex Pistols.) “To come from such a repressed musical environment and then hear someone like Regina Spektor perform with such abandon, shouting and hitting her stool with a drum stick, was priceless.”+11:00 pmWakey!
