The Cove Atlantis

Property Overview

Stylish and dynamic, The Cove Atlantis sits atop two of the most beautiful beaches in the world – Cove and Paradise Beaches. Inspired by the beauty of its natural surroundings, The Cove is a place that thrives on the rhythm of the day. While its ultra pool and beach club create a seamless day to night scene, its spectacular ocean views and a balmy open-air lobby embrace nature’s most compelling elements, creating seductive and indulgent experiences that only The Cove could call its own.

  • Perched high above the pinnacle of two beautiful beaches, The Cove Atlantis will offer stylish all-suite luxury accommodations with stunning panoramic ocean views from every suite.
  • The revolutionary new waterscape promises the spectacle of adventure with four more breathtaking water slides within a 120-foot tall tower, a mile-long tidal wave river ride, an interactive children’s pool with slides, and a zero-entry pool overlooking Cove Beach.
  • Unparalleled encounters at the new Dolphin Cay offer guests the wonderful opportunity to interact with these charismatic mammals. With a focus on conservation and education, this comprehensive habitat will reveal a greater understanding of the bottlenose dolphin.
  • Bobby Flay will bring his Mesa Grill to The Cove Atlantis, joining fellow celebrity chefs Jean-George Vongericten and Nobu Matsuhisa who have already staked their claim on this legendary Bahamian outpost.
  • Atlantis will debut the new Mandara Spa with indulgent Balinese-inspired treatments; and it is the flagship spa for Mandara in the Caribbean. With 31 single treatment rooms, 2 spa suites and 2 villas, the facility is approximately three times the size of the current spa.
  • A new high-energy nightclub from the creators of PURE (Dragons will close next year).
  • Expanded conference center space and new 50,000 square foot Imperial Ballroom – the largest in all The Bahamas.

With imagination and innovation that is unique to Atlantis, an exhilarating new waterscape of pools, water slides and rivers will deliver a sensory journey unlike any other. The new waterscape will introduce the next generation of water experiences, making Atlantis the largest water-themed attraction in the Caribbean.

  • PowerTower, the grand centerpiece of Atlantis’ new waterscape, will offer guests four adrenaline-inducing water slides using “master blaster” technology (jets of water used to propel riders up-and-downhill at a fast pace). At a towering 120 feet, this awe-inspiring water slide station will be nearly twice as high as Atlantis’ Mayan Temple.
  • The Abyss: Beginning with a staggering 50-foot vertical drop, this thrilling 14-second, 200-foot-long body slide through waterfalls and in-and-out of the Tower’s darkness ultimately ends in an underground lair of prehistoric alligator gars.
  • The Drop: Accessible from the river, this slide will allow guests to journey up the Tower while still in inner-tubes via a water-propelling conveyor, to then spiral down through the Tower’s dark center.
  • The Falls: Another inner tube ride accessed via the upward-pushing conveyor, riders will drop 58 feet to ground level before being propelled up again thorough twisting tubes.
  • The Surge: Starting at the Tower’s top level, this inner-tube ride will feature a camel back drop into a cavern, ending in a flash flood.
  • The Current will be a mile-long river expedition with four-foot waves pushing inner-tube riders through a densely landscaped, tropical jungle of rapids, underground tunnels, tidal waves and Tower slides. The complex ‘transportainment’ system will allow riders to float along the river or join in a queue for water slides without leaving their inner tubes.
  • A new rock climbing wall overing the face of the tidal wave generator building, (pumping 10,000 gallons of water per minute through the waterscape) offers 11 different walls of varying skill levels.

Dolphin Cay (Cay is pronounced “key”)

In keeping with Atlantis’ unwavering commitment to preserving marine life, the new Dolphin Cay will be among the world’s largest and most advanced dolphin habitats.

  • Dolphin Cay will provide wonderful opportunities to interact with these amazing mammals.
  • Guests will:
    • Personally meet and connect with dolphins either by wading in shallow water, or swimming in deep water.
    • Enjoy comprehensive orientation and education focused on ocean conservation programs sponsored through the Kerzner Marine Foundation.
  • In a beautiful, state-of-the-art facility, dolphins will enjoy a wonderful home with:
    • Marine specialists and full-time veterinarians provide around-the-clock care with enrichment programs such as play, socialization, relaxation and learning.
    • More than six million gallons of water – making it one of the largest in the world.

Atlantis is home to the “Katrina Dolphins,” reuniting the displaced animals in a beautiful new Bahamian home. Dolphin Cay will also serve as the best dolphin rescue/rehabilitation facility in The Bahamas with the newest medical and laboratory equipment.
